Tried and True Favorites from Nordstrom

I always get asked about my all time favorite items. I’ll be the first to admit, I can easily add a new favorite every few weeks! This time, I’ve rounded up 20 of my absolute tried and true favorite items from Nordstrom! Over the years, these have been some of my all time favorite items and wardrobe staples! One of the reason I love shopping at Nordstrom, is because of their free shipping and returns!

Jean Jacket: Hands down, this is one of the most worn items in my closet! My all time favorite jean jacket is a bit of splurge, but I love it because it is so soft and has great stretch. 2 washes are even on sale right now for 40% off. The light wash here and a dark wash here! I do think it runs a bit small. I size up 1 size to a medium. You can even see it styled 40 ways here!
Zella Live in High Waist Leggings: These black leggings are so good and the perfect leggings to wear everyday! This is an absolute staple for my wardrobe! You can see how I’ve styled them 10 ways here and here! They are true to size. I wear a small.
BaubleBar Kew Collar Necklace: This necklace can instantly dress up a look! I’ve loved it for years!
Too Faced Mascara: This Too Faced mascara is my favorite! It also has amazing reviews and I know so many of you love it too!
Throw: This throw comes in quite a few colors and styles and it is so cozy and soft. These make a perfect gift too!

Ugg Slippers: I know these are a bit of a splurge, but my Ugg slippers are so warm and cozy! These make great gifts too! So many styles and colors to pick from. See them all here!
Gibson Convertible Neckline Tunic Top: This top is such a cozy material and I love the neckline. You can wear it on the shoulder or off the shoulder! This style does run large. I size down to an XS.
Steve Madden Studded Sandals: On sale for 25% off! These sandals are so amazing and perfect for spring and summer! I have them in clear and tan, and I wore them so much last year! I size up a 1/2 size in these.
Living Proof Volume Blast: This has been a total game changer for my hair! It instantly gives my hair so much volume and texture. This brand has a great dry shampoo too! It is great for extending the “life” of your hair between washes, but I also use it on days that I wash my hair to add texture and keep my hair from getting too oily.
Sports Bra: This is my absolute favorite sports bra! Great colors and support.

Olaplex: I have been using these Olaplex products for several years, and my hair has never been healthier. My stylist recommends using them once a week. I wash my hair every other day. So on any day that starts with “S”, I use the Olaplex products. I start with damp hair and leave a pea size amount of No. 3 on for at least ten minutes. Then I use a pea size amount of No. 4 (shampoo) on all of my hair and rinse it completely. Next, I use a pea size amount of No. 5 (conditioner) on the bottom 3/4 of my hair and leave on for 3 minutes. After rinsing No. 5, I add a pea size amount of No. 6 and leave it on. Because I just use such a small amount, these bottles last me at least a year.
Wacoal Strapless Bra: I get asked about my favorite strapless bra so many times, and this is always the one I recommend! Great support, and it is on sale for 50% off right now!
Jumpsuit: I have had has this jumpsuit for years and it is perfect to wear and style so many different ways! You can see it styled 12 ways here! This fits me true to size. I’m wearing a small.
Spanx Faux Leather Leggings: These leggings are so wonderful for so many reason! The minute I first put these leggings on, I was in love! They are so amazing! Not only are they high waisted, but they are by Spanx, so they suck you in in all the right places. I love how they can be dressed up or dress down! I plan to wear them out for date night, girl’s night out, or even to school! For me, they run true to size. I wear them in a size small, but size up if you are in between. In my opinion, they are completely worth the investment. You can see how I have styled them 10 ways here!
Off the Shoulder Dress: This black dress is perfect for so many occasions! Easy to dress up and comfortable! This does run large. I size down 1 size to an XS.

1822 Butter Jeggings: These under $40 jeans have been a favorite of mine, and I’ve worn them endlessly! They have great stretch, but they do hold their shape all day. They are so soft and comfortable. I do recommend sizing down so they don’t stretch out too much! I size down to a 2.
Tory Burch Miller Sandals: I know these sandals are definitely a splurge, but they go with almost anything! I’ve worn mine over and over for years! I do size up a 1/2 size in this style. I also have the new Tory Burch Cloud Miller sandals! The clouds fit true to size and they are so comfortable!
White Shoreline Converse: If you are looking for a classic white sneaker, this converse is the one! Only $50 and you can wear these with so many different things. These fit me true to size.
Red Currant Votivo Reed Diffuser: I’ll admit, I’m picky about scents and candles, but this Votivo Red currant is my favorite! I have the reed diffuser and the candle! Makes a perfect gift.
Barefoot Dreams Cardigan: If you have tried anything from Barefoot Dreams, you know how soft and cozy their items are! This circle cardigan is so soft and perfect. This is an item I always put on my gift guides! True to size.

My Favorite Hair Products from Nordstrom

I have tried hundreds of hair products over the years, but I have finally found the best ones that work for me! I am partnering with Nordstrom today to share my absolute favorite products and how I use them! With their free shipping and returns, Nordstrom is the perfect spot to pick up your favorite beauty products!

I have been using these Olaplex products for several years, and my hair has never been healthier! My stylist recommends using them once a week. I wash my hair every other day. So on any day that starts with “S”, I use the Olaplex products. I start with damp hair and leave a pea size amount of No. 3 on for at least ten minutes. Then I use a pea size amount of No. 4 (shampoo) on all of my hair and rinse it completely. After my Olaplex hair treatment, I blow dry my hair almost completely dry. Then I use this T3 round brush to help straighten my hair and curl the ends. I have the 2.5″, but it is available in several other sizes too!

I was looking for a great detangling brush, and this one popped up! It has nearly 700 great reviews, and I have to agree! It’s amazing! There are five color choices too! It was made to use with wet hair (or dry) and does a great job of not damaging your hair! Plus, it’s only $14 with free shipping and returns.

Two other products I SWEAR by are Living Proof‘s dry shampoo and dry volume blast! The dry shampoo is great for extending the “life” of your hair between washes, but I also use it on days that I wash my hair to add texture and keep my hair from getting too oily! And dry volume blast has been a total game changer for my hair! It instantly gives my hair so much volume and texture!

I have also loved Moroccanoil products for so long!! I use the protect spray to help protect my hair from future damage. I also love the hairspray! My stylist told me a few years ago to try adding the spray to my hair BEFORE I style, and this was a total game changer! I spray a bit on before styling then brush out my hair. My hair holds curls better, and it doesn’t feel stiff!

Hits & Misses at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

It’s the most wonderful (shopping) time of the year!!!! With the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale finally here, you can shop for brand new fall items that are discounted now! It is definitely a one-of-a-kind sale! So here’s how it works:

If you are a Nordstrom card holder, the sale starts for you on July 12!
If you are not a Nordstrom card holder, you can shop the sale July 19!
Prices go back to normal on August 5!

This is a great time of the year to stock up on basics like layering tees, jeans, and cardigans! I was able to shop a few days early! And since we are in Denver (and near a Nordstrom!!), I am showing you all of my hits and misses as well as sizing information!

This is one of my favorite tops of the sale! It is so soft and available for around $30. I have a couple colors from last year and picked up the black for this year! I also noticed that there is an animal print version for this year that wasn’t in my store! I will be ordering that online!

Free People is a brand that is not on sale very often! And since they are a little pricier, this is a great time to pick up a few pieces for fall and winter! I love this looser fitting thermal!

I think these graphic sweatshirts (here & here) are so fun! And as a huge bonus, they are lightweight and soft! I brought the “Everything’s going to be alright” one home with me because sometimes, I totally need that reminder!

Yeah, like I could resist this sweater! It is beyond soft (we’re talking Barefoot Dreams soft!” and is the prettiest pink! Available in other great colors too!

So many of us got the adorable vest version of this jacket last fall! But how perfect is this fleece lined jacket?! The arms are not lined, but the front and back are. HUGE fan of this jacket!

If you are looking for the coziest fleece, this is it! I have from this last year in a couple colors! And while I found it so comfortable and cozy last year, it ran super large and the smallest size was a small. In my opinion, they have totally upped the fleece game for this season! Not only is the fleece available in XS this year, it is also even softer on the inside! If I had to make a sellout prediction, this fleece will be one of them!

I often get asked, “What do you really wear when you aren’t taking pictures for the blog?” Honestly, I always gravitate towards simple outfits like this! You can easily make your look more interesting by adding some fun booties or jewelry! This turtleneck sweater is a great basic!

For me, this outfit was a miss. While leopard print and flared jeans are very on trend right now, this outfit overwhelmed me a bit. I am only 5’5″ and the pants were several inches too long. Nordstrom does off free tailoring so that may have helped me! The pants are super soft with an elastic waist! The top would be great under a sweater but not by itself. It is very sheer.

While the full outfit was a miss for me, I did buy the sweatpants! Both pieces are super soft and comfortable, but the top needed to be a few inches longer in my opinion.

HOLY SOFTNESS! I have a longer version of this jacket that I wore all fall and winter (when it wasn’t super cold!)! The faux fur is perfect for a dressier event!! Oh my goodness! I have this coat in three other colors from last fall and winter! It is definitely a favorite! The small was sold out at my Nordstrom so this is the medium! I love it so much that I will be ordering the small!! The softness is out of this world!
