If you live in a place that has had what seems like an endless amount of snow, you are ready for a getaway to warmer weather! We just purchased our tickets to Florida for spring break, and I could not be more excited! We always look forward to spending time in the sun with my parents and my siblings! I am thrilled to be partnering with Nordstrom today to bring you some great pieces to take on your next getaway!
I have to admit, when I see so many fashion bloggers looking adorable in heels, jeans, and a cute top for traveling, I always think, “Oh goodness! They look adorable! But….. I am guessing they don’t have kids!” So let me break it down! We are traveling with both the kids, and all black is the way to go for me! But of course, I like to throw in a little pink for good measure – enter cute luggage, bag, and shoes! Because we are leaving chilly weather and heading to warmer weather, I always wear layers! I also like to have a cardigan with me in Florida for those chillier evenings! I cannot tell you how much I love this luggage! Not only is it adorable, but it is on four wheels for easy navigating and has some amazing compartments and pockets on the inside!
So….. we are very casual on our family vacations! I like to be comfortable and cute! And while from the front, this looks like a totally basic (& incredibly soft) tank, the back gives it a little character! I also do not travel without these sandals! They have gone with me on countless vacations and remain the most comfortable pair of sandals in my closet. So if you are wondering if they are worth the splurge…… the answer is for sure YES!
While the majority of our trip is low-key, we always go out to eat one night as a big family! I always pack one dressier outfit for this occasion! This dress is a favorite already! It is lightweight and comfortable. It does run big. I would suggest sizing down one size. It could also be used as a coverup!! And if you are planning on doing some shopping like me (shocking, I know!), these shoes are incredibly comfortable! Plus I always feel like I look better with a little bit of a heel! My sister and I have a tradition of leaving the kids with the husbands and our parents! Then we head over to the outlet mall and do a little shopping followed by frozen yogurt!
A Few More Dresses you Might Want to Pick Up
I always like to pack a top with longer sleeves for those chillier nights on vacation! I love that this top looks so perfect paired with white shorts! When you add a pop of color with earrings, it really helps tie everything together!
One of my favorite things about being somewhere warm for vacation is lounging in the sun!! Bring on all the vitamin D! One piece bathing suits are a great option too, and I have added a widget below with some more great swim suit choices. But this year, I am totally digging the high waisted bikini bottoms! It is the year of the mom suit, and I couldn’t be happier about it! When Henry, my son, was born, he made quite the dramatic entrance into the world! I ended up having to have an emergency c-section, and my scar is vertical rather than horizontal. I love the high-waisted bikini bottoms because I have always been self conscious about that scar, and I just feel good in both of the suits I am wearing above. (But don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t trade my scar and stretch marks for the world! I am beyond blessed with two beautiful children!!)
Nordstrom really is your one-stop shop for all of your getaway needs! I can almost feel the warm sun on my skin now – even though currently, freezing rain is now pouring down in Indiana! You can check out Nordstrom’s full Vacation Guide here and here! So many wonderful choices for your next trip!

P.S. – While I am ready for warmer weather, I thought you would get a kick out of seeing where my bikini pic was REALLY taken!!! Can’t beat a friend knowing their way around PhotoShop! Yes, that is me by our pool…… In several inches of snow covered in freezing rain! Don’t zoom in, or you may see all of my goosebumps! You guys, it was FREEZING (literally) this day!
