I think Briton is about to disown me after the projects I have been doing this summer around the house!! But I have been wanting to rip up our carpet in the family room since our dog George decided to chew a hole in the carpet a few years ago! Thanks to The Home Depot and my handy brother, my dreams are finally coming true! Today on the blog I am sharing a few changes that we made in our family room that have made a HUGE difference! I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out, and it’s all a part of The Home Depot’s 4^th of July Savings

I honestly loved our family room before other than the carpet! With two kids and two dogs, our carpet had so much traffic! Even though we got it cleaned a couple of times a year, it was definitely starting to show signs of wear!

The Home Depot has SO many choices for flooring! I love that you can get a small sample to see how the color will look in your room! We decided to go with a luxury vinyl for our floors! I wanted something that was scratch resistant and waterproof! We chose Lifeproof Sundance Canyon Hickory for our floors because, in the words of Goldilocks, it was “just right”! I wanted a flooring that wasn’t too light or too dark! The Canyon Hickory was the perfect “wood” color! It snapped together very easily too! The pictures speak for themselves, but this flooring made such a huge difference!

I also picked up this arched mirror and wreath for our mantle! I never know what to put up there when there are no holidays going on, but this look was perfect! I have the largest size of the mirror.

I also chose to add this great peel and stick wallpaper to the back of our bookcase! Was so easy to instal and made a big change!

And the last change I made in our family room was adding this clock to the wall! I love shiplap in the back!
