The past few years of teaching have been incredibly challenging for me. I have had several problems with my thyroid and digestion. In the end of March of 2017, I read the book The Magnolia Story, and it literally changed my life. I don’t say that lightly. Throughout the entire book I read story after story of how Chip and Jo trusted God and some pretty incredible things happened. I remember when I got done reading the book, I got down on my knees. When I was on my knees, I was praying and saying that I didn’t know what else I was even qualified to do. But I was trusting God to provide something for me that I could do for a job. I honestly didn’t know what it would be. But here’s what I did know – I am good with kids, and I am good at shopping!
I told Briton at the beginning of April 2017 that I was thinking about starting a blog. He, being the always supportive husband, said to go for it! Honestly, after making the decision to start a blog, the hardest part for me was coming up with a name. I …. had… NOTHING! Finally, I came up with “Little Bits & Pieces”! I created the page! (And also discovered that a puzzle company had the same page on Facebook!) Then, after another week, I decided to do a play on words with my last name “Post”! And thus…. Just Posted was born! I changed the page name! Then on April 24, 2017, I invited all my female friends and family members on Facebook to like my new page! When I went to bed, about 30 people liked my page! When I woke up the next morning, I was jumping up and down because almost 200 people liked my page!!
To say that the past year has been busy would be an understatement! There have definitely been ups and downs! I remember in December, I got an email that I received my first sponsored post! I literally jumped up and down with excitement! That night, I came up with a plan, and ordered all my pieces!! I had two weeks to get everything done. Then I got the bad news that my order had been delayed!! I had a panic attack, couldn’t breathe, and started ugly crying!! I am allergic to my tears, and my whole face was red and splotchy! (<– the perfect look for someone in a photo, right!?!) But everything worked out!
I am so grateful to my family for their support! I am so grateful for all of you for following along! So thank you for your love and support over the past year! It means more than you will ever know! Here’s to following your dreams!
