An Exciting Announcement

Well, it’s been one crazy year, and one that has exceeded my wildest dreams. You may remember reading my blog post that I wrote after one full year of blogging. I honestly had no idea how quickly things would take off, and I am so grateful.

When I told Briton in April of 2017 that I wanted to start a blog, we both had no idea what lay in store. I started the blog as a creative outlet for me. I love to shop and help women feel more confident in their dress!! That is another reason why I wanted to do the blog!

Never in my wildest dreams did I think that I would be able to take a year off of teaching and focus on growing the blog even more and being a mom!! But that’s what is happening this school year! I am taking this coming school year off and couldn’t be more excited about it!

I absolutely love teaching and the joys that it brings. But like every job, teaching can be incredibly stressful. I had been praying for the last several years for God to show me what He wanted me to do. If it was His will for me to continue teaching, then I would do it. I remember praying and saying, “I have a degree in teaching and am not qualified to do anything else, but just show me what you want me to do.” I don’t know how else to say it than I truly felt led to start this blog. It sounds silly…. feeling led to start a fashion blog. But honestly, that is exactly what happened.

So this upcoming school year, I have decided to take the year off from teaching. The wonderful thing about the district that I teach in is that I can take a year off and still have a job in the district if I choose to go back the following year. When the time comes next spring, I will make a decision on whether to go back to teaching or continue blogging full time.

I am SO looking forward a little time to recharge. Last school year was very stressful. I was working a full time job teaching, and then coming home and working full time on the blog too. I am also really looking forward to volunteering in the kids’ classrooms. This has been a dream of mine for many years, and I never thought it would come true.

So THANK YOU! Thank you for following along and helping my dreams become a reality! Thank you for your love and support along the way! And thank you for just being awesome!

I look forward to seeing what the next year will bring!
