Lake Essentials from Backcountry

This post was sponsored by Backcountry and ShopStyle.

It’s hard to believe that summer is winding down, but we still have over a month left with really nice weather! Today on the blog, I am sharing a few essentials from Backcountry that make going to the lake so easy!

And right now, Backcountry is having their HUGE Semi-Annual Sale where you can get up to 50% off on some of your favorite outdoor brands like The North Face, Patagonia, prAna, and so much more! Today and tomorrow only, save an additional 20% on select accessories (including sunglasses and footwear)!! Time to pick up some new shades and footwear! If you pick up full-priced items in your cart, remember to use code JUSTPOSTED15 for 15% off your first order at Backcountry.com (exclusions apply)!

Some of my favorite items now on sale:

Briton’s mom and dad have had a cottage on the lake for over 20 years! In fact, if you scroll down to the bottom, you can see pictures of me and my siblings enjoying the cottage when we were little. Briton’s dad has a small office, and when I was a little girl, my mom and dad would clean the office once a week for a little bit of extra income. One summer, Briton’s family invited my family to spend the week there. It was a fun vacation about thirty miles away from my childhood home!

I never dreamed I would end up married to Briton, but we started dating in high school and were married 6 years later! Now Henry and Lucy get to enjoy the same lake Briton and I grew up on as kids!

There are a few things we bring when we go to the lake on the weekend that make things so much easier!

I start by making sure I have a comfortable dress (now up to 30% off!) and sandals (similar options here) and a large hat (similar options here) to protect my face from the sun! This Patagonia dress is water resistant, has pockets, and is so comfortable for the lake! These Reef sandals are so darn comfortable too! And this Brixton hat is perfect for shading my face!

For years, I thought, “Do I REALLY need a Yeti cooler?” Turns out, the answer was yes! This cooler is amazing! It holds everything I need for an entire meal for our family at the lake and keeps everything cool too! I also decided to just leave it in my car so that I always have a cooler to keep our cold foods from grocery shopping! And if you haven’t tried the Yeti can colsters, WOW! They are best best coozies I have ever found! They truly keep your drink cold for hours!

Fit Tip: Everything is true to size. Wearing a small in the dress.

A big thank you to April Hoff Photography for capturing these images.
