I don’t know about you, but I am getting pretty excited for fall and cooler temperatures! The dogs are pretty excited for cooler temps too because that means one thing to them – LONGER WALKS! Backcountry has everything we all need to get outside and get moving! With brands like Sweaty Betty, Sorel, Patagonia, The North Face, and more, it’s no wonder that our family shops at Backcountry to get durable and comfortable gear! From hikes to walks, we look forward to getting outside! You can also use code JUSTPOSTED15 for 15% off your first order at Backcountry.com (exclusions apply)!
I have had a dog pretty much my entire life – starting with my first dog, Skeezer! No idea where we got that name! We have had Sammy for over 6 years and George for a little over a year! They are two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels that love to be active! And while we love to do walks all year long, the summer months can be pretty hot for them both so we limit the walks to a shorter distance. But when fall rolls around, the dogs look forward to longer walks and even going on hikes!
I was so excited to see that Backcountry got a great new selection of Sweaty Betty products! Not only are the designs amazing, but the gear is comfortable and durable for any type of workout! This top is available in tons of colors, made of a super soft material, and has great details like a cutout in the back and thumbholes! (Shop a similar top here.) And it is even longer in the back to cover my rear end! And one thing that is very important to me on walks is a pair of leggings with pockets! These fit the bill!
Fit Tip: Everything is true to size. Wearing a small in the vest, top, and leggings. Size up if in between in the vest.

We bought the dogs harnesses by Ruffwear last winter, and we loved those so much, that we wanted to try out their collars! This collar is so well thought out!! The colors are bright and colorful, there is a separate ring for the leash, and a dog tag attachment to keep your dogs tags from jingling!
