Even though TECHNICALLY it is spring, it doesn’t quite feel like it here in Indiana! The past few years of teaching have been incredibly challenging for me. I have had several problems with my thyroid and digestion. In the end of March of 2017, I read the book The Magnolia Story, and it literally changed my life. I don’t say that lightly. Throughout the entire book I read story after story of how Chip and Jo trusted God and some pretty incredible things happened. I remember when I got done reading the book, I got down on my knees. When I was on my knees, I was praying and saying that I didn’t know what else I was even qualified to do. But I was trusting God to provide something for me that I could do for a job. I honestly didn’t know what it would be. But here’s what I did know – I am good with kids, and I am good at shopping!
While the world is full of negativity, I am sure blessed to be surrounded by a powerhouse of positivity and love! I am excited to be doing this blog post to introduce you to some very important women in my life – meet my mom and sisters! No matter what you do in life, it is always important to be surrounded by cheerleaders! When I first started this blog almost a year ago, that is exactly what these women are – my biggest cheerleaders (second only to my sweet husband, Briton! He’s the biggest cheerleader of them all!) I don’t know about you, but I am ready for spring and summer to arrive!! I mean, hello, it is April! Last week though in Indiana, we had a few snow showers! With spring break officially over, it is time to head back to reality! But let’s be honest, without reality, those times away would not be appreciated nearly as much!
